Openline E5330BS-2 Huawei Pocket Wifi

Lets admit it, when we hear sale of N% price off, we go out crazy buying the stuff we don't even need or we don't even search about. I hate to  admit it but I am also one of you and so, I bought this pocket wifi years ago, because why not? it's cheap and we don't afford postpaid connection that time and I'm still a student, so I saved up and buy this pocket wifi. Years later I decided to openline this pocket wifi since the other network have stronger connection in our area, and globe becomes unstable.

Disclaimer: I am not responsible if you damaged/bricked your own pocket wifi, so make sure to read and follow all the instructions well.

  1. Download the neccessary here
  2. run the Huawei Unlock code calculator
  3. copy the IMEI of the pocket wifi (you can see this through the web panel of pocket wifi or the huawei hilink app find SETTINGS>DEVICE INFORMATION)
  4. Click the 'calc' button and do not close the huawei unlock calculator
  5. Open fw_update folder and run E5330BS_FW_UPDATE_21.210.25.00.00.exe and follow the pictures below


  6. A dialog box will pop up and it will ask for the password. To get the password go to huawei unlock code calculator that you open a while ago and copy the flash code and enter the code to the pop up message that opens when you run the E5330BS_FW_UPDATE_21.210.25.00.00 application . see photo below to check where is the flash code.
  7. wait until its finished
  8. after that you can open the webui_update and run Update_WEBUI_17.100.09.03.03_RE5.exe
  9. Click start and wait till finished
  10. Go to your browser and on the address bar type 192.168.8.1.

    user name: admin
    password: admin                                                                                                                             
  11. After opening the web GUI of your Huawei E5330Bs - 2 on the browser it will ask for the unlock code. Enter the v201 code 


    12. A notification box will open asking for the user name and password. 

    The default user name and password is 
    user name: admin 
    password: admin                                                                                                                
  12. That's it! you can now enjoy your unlocked pocket wifi 

And if you're wondering why it is on 3g , while the globe advertised it as 4G pocket wifi is because based on my research, that huawei E5330BS-2 is only supporting 3G network. How Globe made it 4G while it was only for 3G networks is what very suspicious here.
